Masdevallia pusiola Rchb. f., Gard. Chron. 1: 140. 1887.

TYPE: Colombia. It grows at St. Albans, in the Masdevallia-house of Mr. F. Sander like a little weed amidst other Columbian Masdevallias. There it was discovered by Herr Oberhofgartner Wendland, who took the charming little thing to Herrenhausen (holotype, W).
